Hamburg-Horn Racecourse

Hoppegarten Racecourse

Founded in 1868, Hoppegarten Racecourse east of Berlin is one of Germany’s oldest and most historic racecourses and is a protected heritage site. Hanover / Neue Bult Racecourse (Langenhagen)

Despite carrying the Hanover name, the “Neue Bult” racecourse is actually located in Langenhagen just outside the city. From Hanover’s main station, the track can be reached in around 15 minutes via light-rail line 1 plus a shuttle bus. Leipzig-Scheibenholz Racecourse

Scheibenholz Racecourse in Leipzig’s Auwald forest has a history spanning more than 150 years, making it Saxony’s oldest still-active sports venue. Horse racing has taken place at Raffelberg in Mülheim’s Speldorf district since 1863, and since 1910 the racecourse has been firmly embedded in the social life of the city and the wider Ruhr region. Duhner Wattrennen Beach Races (Cuxhaven)

The Duhner Wattrennen are a true rarity: instead of a conventional turf track, horses race directly across the tidal flats (Wattenmeer) near Cuxhaven. This long-standing event takes place once a year and attracts visitors from all over Germany eager to witness this unique natural spectacle.
